On the issues
Top priority: "My top priority is tackling this affordability crisis. Again we need to end this war and these tariffs. The cost of everything has surged including housing, healthcare, education, childcare, and everyday goods. We must also increase the minimum wage and index it to inflation."
Affordability and cost of living: "I support affordable childcare, strong schools, first-time homebuyer assistance, safe neighborhoods, and policies that reduce the rising costs facing working families. … Congress needs to pass a law to stop corporations from going into communities and buying up all of the inventory."
Health care: "Congress must reinstate the subsidies of the Affordable Care Act. Over 5 million Texans are without healthcare. Of that number, over 1 million of them are children. Healthcare is a human right and not a privilege."
Federal spending: "Congress must end this war. … We are spending $1 billion per day on this war with no objective and no end in sight. We need to undo the harm caused by the Big, Beautiful Bill. Corporations should be paying their fair share."
Immigration: "Congress needs to enact laws to deal with immigration in a humane manner. There must be a pathway to citizenship for DACA recipients. There should be a modernization of border security, and more Immigration Court judges need to be hired as well."
Energy: "We need to expand the utilization of renewable energy sources such as wind power, solar power, bioenergy, and hydroelectric energy. … We should also offer trades in those areas for high school and trade school students to have them job ready in those areas."
