Nothing Bundt Cakes opened its second Katy bakery on Oct. 25, giving Morton Ranch Road shoppers a closer option for bundt cakes and party supplies.
The new store sits at 24810 Morton Ranch Rd., Suite 300, according to the bakery's website. Bakery representatives confirmed the opening to Community Impact Newspaper, which first reported the news.
The location spans about 1,803 square feet and was built under a permit with an estimated construction cost of $297,000, My Neighborhood News reported in May. That permit filing listed a projected construction start of June 15 and a completion target of Sept. 15. The store opened about five weeks past that estimate.
Katy's first Nothing Bundt Cakes opened in spring 2015 at 2717 Commercial Center Blvd. in the Cinco Ranch area, according to the brand's site. The second location puts the chain near Raintree Village in northwest Harris County.
The Morton Ranch Road bakery carries bundt cakes in sizes from bite-size Bundtinis and personal Bundtlets to larger tiered cakes for parties. Flavors listed on the store's page include red velvet, chocolate chocolate chip, white chocolate raspberry, confetti, lemon, strawberries and cream, OREO Cookies and Cream, classic vanilla, carrot and a gluten-free option. Seasonal selections rotate throughout the year.
The shop also stocks candles and balloons, Community Impact reported. The bakery's website lists additional party supplies such as gift packaging and cards.
A fundraising program lets organizations earn up to $2 per bundtlet sold, according to the store's page.
Orders can be picked up in the bakery or at the curb. Delivery is available through Uber Eats, DoorDash and Grubhub, the website states.
