Clothed by Faith, a Katy nonprofit, has opened a boutique where shoppers can buy premium donated items and fund new clothing for neighbors in need.

The store is at 802 Dominion Dr., Suite 500, inside the organization's expanded facility, Katy Magazine reported. Founded in 2013, Clothed by Faith has served more than 167,000 people, according to the report.

Executive Director Deysi Crespo said proceeds will go toward filling specific gaps. "Proceeds from boutique sales will help Clothed by Faith purchase new underwear, socks, and attire specifically needed for school or employment," Crespo said, according to Katy Magazine.

The expanded Dominion Drive facility helps the organization process more donations, outfit more clients and partner with more schools, agencies and community groups, according to the report.

Crespo told Katy Magazine the expansion reflects growing demand. She said it required space, volunteers and heart, and called it a chance to show the public how their generosity changes lives.

Clothed by Faith provides children and adults across Greater Houston with a full week's worth of clothing, according to the organization's website. It partners with school districts, nonprofits, social service agencies and community organizations.

eBay store and other ways to help

The nonprofit has also launched an eBay store for people who prefer to shop online. Those purchases support the same mission of providing a week's worth of clothing to people in need.

Volunteers are essential. They handle 85% of the organization's work, according to Katy Magazine. The nonprofit also accepts clothing donations, which must be new or gently used. A drop box sits at the Dominion Drive location. The organization asks donors to place only clothing in the bins, with no boxes or items on hangers.

A $25 monthly donation provides a week's worth of clothing for one person, according to the nonprofit.
