Katy High School crushed Taylor 66-0 at Legacy Stadium on Friday, Oct. 30, extending the Tigers' unbeaten season to 9-0.

The shutout was Katy's seventh straight District 22-6A win. The Tigers posted what Katy ISD Athletics described on X as "a strong all-around performance to pull away from the Mustangs."

The 66-point margin left no doubt. Taylor, which entered the game 6-2 overall and 4-2 in district play according to Week 8 standings, had no answer for a Katy squad that came in ranked No. 6 in the state by Sports Illustrated's Texas high school football poll, published Oct. 28.

Katy had been idle during Week 9, according to the SI rankings. The bye gave the Tigers extra preparation time before Friday's blowout.
