Primrose School of Fulshear plans to open in January 2027 with roughly 210 childcare spots. The school will serve children ages six weeks through pre-kindergarten at 330 Huggins Drive near Primrose Park, My Neighborhood News reported.
The campus is already accepting enrollment inquiries and hiring staff.
Kelly and Jason Hammons, the franchise owners behind the new campus, have operated Primrose School at Waterside Estates in the Fort Bend County area for nearly a decade. According to My Neighborhood News, their decision to expand into Fulshear grew partly from conversations with parents who wanted the same experience closer to home.
"As more families have moved to Fulshear, we began hearing from parents who wished they had that same experience closer to home," Kelly Hammons said in a statement, according to My Neighborhood News.
The campus will span approximately 14,000 square feet with 12 classrooms, four outdoor playgrounds and a sports court. It will serve infants starting at six weeks, toddlers, preschoolers and children preparing for kindergarten.
The school is expected to create 30 to 35 jobs in Fulshear. Openings are expected to include early childhood educators, leadership positions and support staff, though the school has not released a breakdown of positions, salaries or benefits.
The project ties back to an approximately $3.5 million construction effort first reported by My Neighborhood News in August 2025. That earlier filing listed the address as 8015 FM 359 Road S, while the current announcement uses 330 Huggins Drive. The relationship between the two addresses has not been independently confirmed, according to the report.
At Waterside Estates, Kelly Hammons has supported local organizations including Lunches of Love, Isaiah House and Fulshear Little League, according to My Neighborhood News. The new campus plans to pursue similar community partnerships, though specific events and charitable ties have not been announced.
It is not the only new childcare facility in the area. Children's Lighthouse of Cross Creek West opened Aug. 20 at 31631 Fulshear Bend Drive, owned by multi-unit franchise operator Emily Fernando.
The Hammons and their team will continue preparing the campus through December ahead of the January 2027 opening.
