Better Baseball, a Georgia-based retailer that bills itself as "America's Baseball Superstore," will open its first Texas location on the Grand Parkway in Katy this fall.
The store will occupy space at 2727 W. Grand Pkwy. N. in the Park Row retail development, Community Impact Newspaper reported on Tuesday, Aug. 25. The Katy location will be only the company's second store, joining its flagship in Marietta, Georgia, near Atlanta.
Marks told Community Impact the store will be "a world class immersive experience, unlike anything they've seen in baseball."
Matthew Marks is general manager of store operations for Better Baseball. The company sells name-brand gloves, bats, catcher's gear, hats and cleats. Its brand roster includes Wilson, Rawlings, Louisville Slugger, New Balance, Adidas and Mizuno.
The company's Georgia flagship carries more than 80,000 bats in stock and roughly 2,000 gloves on display, according to the Better Baseball website. That store also features a Pro Bat Fitting Lab where customers can demo any bat for free in HitTrax batting cages, a swing analysis studio and in-house craftsmen who handle glove break-in, relacing and engraving.
The Katy store's specific features have not been announced.
The Grand Parkway corridor location puts Better Baseball in one of the Houston area's most active youth sports markets. Katy ISD's athletic programs have produced 27 team state championships across multiple sports, according to the district's athletics department.
No specific opening date beyond fall 2026 has been announced. Residents can sign up for updates at betterbaseball.com/texas.
