Katy's sixth Chipotle opens Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 5830 N. Fry Road in Bear Creek Plaza, adding about 30 jobs to a corridor that recently gained a Dutch Bros Coffee next door.
The chain announced the new restaurant in an Aug. 19 news release, Community Impact reported. The store sits near West Little York Road in unincorporated Harris County, alongside the Dutch Bros at 5840 N. Fry Road.
Hiring for crew positions is ongoing. Job postings advertise up to $5,250 a year in tuition assistance toward debt-free college degrees, along with medical benefits, according to Hoodline.
The location is registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation under project number TABS2025024877 as "Chipotle #5931 Bear Creek II."
App deals at opening
Chipotle is offering app-exclusive discounts on Aug. 30 and Sept. 6 for customers who order online or through its mobile app, per Hoodline's reporting.
More Chipotle growth in Katy
The Fry Road store joins five existing locations: 1427 S. Mason Road, 24600 Katy Freeway, 2812 W. Grand Parkway N., plus stores on Westheimer Parkway and Cane Island Parkway.
And the chain isn't done.
State regulatory records show Chipotle is planning a freestanding 2,385-square-foot restaurant at 3151 Katy Hockley Cut Off Road, with a roughly $300,000 build-out targeted for completion in April 2027. The company also has a signed lease at The Green at Katy Park, a 46.27-acre mixed-use district by developer Read King north of I-10, and another location opened at Elyson Town Center on Grand Parkway and FM 529.
Nationally, Chipotle has set a target of 350 to 370 net new company-owned locations in 2026. The Fry Road store and the planned Katy Hockley Cut Off Road build suggest the chain sees room to grow well beyond six in the Katy market.
