Clothed by Faith needs men's shirts, pants and children's clothing at its expanded Katy warehouse, where volunteers package about a week's worth of outfits for families referred through schools and social service agencies.

The Katy-based nonprofit is asking for new or gently used items in specific sizes, My Neighborhood News reported. For men, the biggest gaps are small and medium T-shirts, pants and shorts in 30-, 32- and 34-inch waists, and medium joggers and athletic shorts.

For girls, sizes 12, 14 and 16 are needed in tops and shorts. For boys, the same sizes are short across tops, shorts, pants and hoodies.

New, unopened socks and underwear for children and adults top the list. Those items go into every clothing package but cannot be distributed used.

Clothed by Faith served 20,407 people in 2025 through partnerships with more than 100 agencies and 21 school districts across Greater Houston. Katy ISD lists the organization among community resources available to families, noting it can provide roughly a week of clothing to children and adults in need.

Founder Abi Morton started the nonprofit in 2013 out of a garage with bags of donated clothing from a local ministry. Morton, who grew up in an immigrant family near the poverty line, saw Katy-area families struggling to get adequate clothing.

The organization held a ribbon-cutting May 13 at its expanded facility at 802 Dominion Dr., Suite 100, Katy, Community Impact reported. The larger space gives staff and volunteers more room to sort donations and prepare clothing packages, which include shoes, new socks and underwear, and handwritten notes of encouragement.

"Meeting the growing need in our community requires space, volunteers, and heart. This expansion represents all three," Executive Director Deysi Crespo told Katy Magazine on Aug. 3.

About 200 volunteers log more than 20,000 hours each year. Warehouse shifts at the Katy branch run Monday through Friday in two-hour blocks between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Volunteers must be at least 14; those 14 and 15 need a participating adult.
