An afternoon party at Katy Vibes Restaurant & Bar on Wednesday, Sept. 9, will mix lunch specials, music bingo and karaoke with practical fall-prevention education from Memorial Hermann and local fire departments.

The Katy Vibes Day Party runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 24757 Katy Freeway. No cover charge, no registration required.

Memorial Hermann's Injury Prevention Department and Foot Solutions Katy will offer tips to help attendees remain safe, strong and independent, according to an event announcement from The Katy News. The session gives Katy-area residents a chance to learn how to reduce fall risk at home without leaving a lunch party.

The entertainment lineup includes Music Bingo, Music Trivia and karaoke alongside lunch and drink specials from the Katy Freeway restaurant and bar.

Community partners backing the event include Harris County ESD No. 48 and Willowfork Fire Department, where community risk reduction specialist Lia Hales is on staff. Harris County ESD No. 48 operates out of 1773 Westgreen Blvd. in Katy. The Katy News is also a media partner.

Free tickets are listed on Eventbrite, and walk-ins are welcome.
