Jack in the Box plans to open its first Fulshear restaurant on Saturday, Oct. 31, at The Market at Cross Creek Ranch on FM 1463.

The 1,873-square-foot drive-thru location at 27027 Fulshear Bend Drive will offer indoor seating along with breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert options, My Neighborhood News first reported. The Oct. 31 date comes from the restaurant's Google Maps listing. Jack in the Box's own location page confirms an October 2026 opening but does not list a specific day.

The project has been years in the making. A Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing shows the privately funded restaurant was originally scheduled for construction between June 15 and Dec. 1, 2023, at an estimated cost of $500,000.

The filing lists Read-King as the project owner and Shane Luckie as the tenant. The restaurant is opening roughly three years beyond that original construction schedule.

The opening adds to a stretch of commercial growth in a city that is adding residents fast. U.S. Census Bureau estimates released in May ranked Fulshear the second-fastest-growing city in the country, with a 21% population increase between July 2024 and July 2025 that pushed the total to 64,630 residents, Spectrum News reported.

"It sure puts us on the map, and what it does is people might want to come check it out and come find out how great Fulshear really is," Mayor Don McCoy told Spectrum News in June when the census figures were released.

Other commercial projects are underway nearby. Fulshear Central, a mixed-use development spanning roughly 23 acres along FM 1093, is under construction with plans for more than 150,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and office space, according to My Neighborhood News.

The Commons at Cross Creek West, a five-acre commercial development, is expected to bring two retail buildings to the entrance of the Cross Creek West community, My Neighborhood News reported.

The nearest existing Jack in the Box locations are on South Grand Parkway and Market Place Drive in Katy, South Mason Road and Morton Ranch Road in the Katy area, FM 359 in Brookshire and West Grand Parkway South in Richmond. Specific hours and promotions for the Fulshear restaurant have not been announced.
